We believe in personal experiences: since we are a small hotel, we can pay attention to all our guests individually. It is our pleasure to recommend programmes and leisure activities tailored to everyone’s personal needs who want to discover the Tihany region and greet our regular guests by their first names.

We started to manage the hotel with my college friends fourteen years ago, and today it is run by a professional team with several years of experience. Our main aim is to introduce our guests to our „Balaton way of life” as we like it too. With all my colleagues from the housekeeping and maintenance department, reception, kitchen and restaurant we work hard to contribute to your days of relaxation and holiday in Hungary and we sincerely hope that you return home with many great memories and experiences.

Snapshots from our hotel’s past

It took long years for the former summer resort of the Hungarian National Bank to turn into our hotel’s present state. We always aim to improve our buildings and services so our guests can have an ever more comfortable stay.

  1. The Hungarian National Bank establishes a summer resort on the Balatonfüred side of the Tihany Peninsula

1963. The resort quickly becomes the favourite Balaton destination of the bank’s employees and their families

1970. The first development of the resort building is a common dining area

  1. The main building is further enlarged, new rooms are added

1987. The mud that has been removed from the bottom to make the marina is used to form our cozy island

1991. After adding the roof our hotel building’s characteristic facade is born

1992. The resort serves as the base of the National Bank’s successful sailing association

  1. A public competition is announced for the resort’s new name, the winner applicant is Hotel Panoráma
  1. Aquilo Hotel Panoráma gets a modern design
  1. As part of a large development the marina’s wave breaker, the 120 seater restaurant/event hall and its panoramic terrace are built

2018. Many scenes of the Hungarian series ’Ízig vérig’ is shot in our marina and on our beach

  1. The audience of „Hotel of the year” TV show votes Hotel Panoráma as the winner of the actual episode
